Anyone for Spaghetti & Meatballs????

The lovely Sandra of http://bbalm.blogspot.co.uk/ asked me to do a blog on this cake I made a few years ago, so here it is (even though it did take me a few weeks to do as I have been super poorly)
I have always loved baking, for as long as I can remember I have loved making cakes & all manner of sweet treats.
This was one of the very first 'proper' cakes I made when I first started decorating cakes about 2 years ago.  My mum asked me to make a cake for a friend of hers so this is what I came up with.

It is very easy to do. Unfortunately I dont have any other pictures of it but it is so simple you dont need any other pictures. All you need is a cake covered in white fondant (Im happy to say my fondant skills have improved since making this haha look at all that creasing in the fondant yuk!), about 2-3 cups of royal icing tinted with coloured gels to make it look like spaghetti, a few ferroro rocher for the meatballs (you didnt really think I would put proper meatballs on a cake???? haha), some jam (either strawberry or raspberry thinned down with a little water) to look like the spaghetti sauce & some white chocolate shaving to look like permesan cheese.
It really is that simple.
If any of you give it a go let me know so I can check out your pics x x

    1. Fondant is great to work with. I find a quick slick of shortening works wonders for getting it to a great workable stage x x
