Review: Glamour Doll Eyes Halo Collection

 Glamour Doll Eyes: Halo

Glamour Doll Eyes are a small indie company. They have been around since 2008. They offer some of the most amazing loose eyeshadows I have seen for a very long time. It also helps that the owner (Vee) is one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of doing business with, if you have a question, suggestion or need any help with anything she will do everything she can to help you. They even give you 2 free samples with every order (how many small indie companies do you know that do that because GDE is the only one I know of)
Another thing I love about GDE is that you choose the colour(s) you want & then you choose if you want a sample baggie ($1.25 per .5 g), a sample jar ($2.50 per 1g) or a full size jar ($6.00 per 2.5g). If you purchase a sample, try it, love it & decide you need a full size jar they will even deduct the cost of the sample off of the cost of the full size jar, how amaizng is that????

The stunning array of colours leave you needing more. I have what I like to think is a fairly good collection of GDE shadows but there is always room for more :-)
I have been a fan of http://glamourdolleyes.com/ for just over a year now & will continue to be a fan of their great products for as long as they are around.
Recently they asked if a few bloggers would like the chance to review the Halo collection before its official release date (Jan 20th 2013), I, of course jumped at the chance.

This collection is different from all of the others I have tried. This is a neutral collection, but being GDE its neutral with a difference.

So lets get to the good stuff, On the left is swatched without any primer & on the right is swatched over GDE's Foil me mixing medium

First up is Flawless, this is described as Light beige/pink with subtle turquoise & gold shimmer

Next up is Disclose, this is described as Blackened gold with red & orange shimmer

Exposed is Medium matte grey with subtle multi coloured shimmer

Audacious is Metallic copper/gold with blackened undertones & copper shimmer

Flaunt is a Medium taupe with pink & gold shimmer

Mannequin is Baby pink with metallic qualities & blue shimmer

Vulnerable is Light beige with rose & green shimmer

Imitation is described as Medium beige with dark brown undertones & silver shimmer

Unveil is a Dark matte brown with purple shimmer undertones, also has maroon qualities

And last up is Undressed, this is described as Dark blackened brown with green shimmers

I own very few neutral eyeshadows as I like bold bright colours, so I was a bit apprehensive about this collection, however I need'nt have worried. As you can see this is a beautiful collection & I cant wait to create with it.  I hope you try GDE (if you havent already) & I hope you love it as much as I do x x
